There was even more precious metal in Buckingham Palace than before: the royal couple Charles and Camilla received almost 200 Olympic heroes.

For King Charles III. (73), King’s wife Camilla (75) and Prince Edward (58) and Princess Anne (72) had to shake numerous hands last Wednesday evening (November 2nd). The royal quartet received British Olympic and Paralympic athletes at Buckingham Palace, who have represented Great Britain in Tokyo (Summer Olympics 2020), Beijing (Winter Olympics 2022) and the corresponding Paralympic competitions for the past two years.

Almost 200 medals were won by the athletes who gathered at Buckingham Palace, it says in an Instagram post from the royal family.

Prince Edward was also present as patron of the British Paralympic relay and Princess Anne holds the title of Honorary President of the British Olympic Association. Prince Richard (78) and his wife Birgitte (76), the Duchess of Gloucester, were also present at the event.
