Kanye West hired his attorney to clear custody of his four children. After repeated public arguments with the child’s mother Kim Kardashian, there could soon be another legal battle between the ex-couple and the children.
Kanye West’s attorney, who is representing the rapper in his divorce from Kim Kardashian, is now set to clarify custody of the couple’s four children. A few days ago, the two publicly got into each other’s hair on Instagram on a topic about the children.
Kanye West has been trying to win back his ex-wife Kim Kardashian for weeks. Sometimes with public anger attacks, especially against her new boyfriend Pete Davidson, sometimes with declarations of love and now with their children as a means of pressure. Kanye West recently posted a photo of his daughter’s backpack. It features three pins: Kim Kardashian’s face, an alien face and Kanye West’s. Captioning the photo, the singer wrote: “This was on my daughter’s backpack when I got the chance to see her last week. That’s why I’m so committed to my family. I’m destined to protect my family at all costs. As a priest of my house. Don’t worry, North. God is still alive.”
Kim Kardashian chimed in after the post: “Please stop with these stories, you were just here this morning picking up the kids from school.” After a short time, however, the comment was no longer visible.
Out-of-court agreement on custody is unlikely
Currently there is no final regulation of custody. A source told TMZ that the current deal is that Kanye West can see his kids anytime he’s in town. Unless they’re in the middle of another date or activity.
Kanye West’s attorney, Samantha Spector, is said to be trying to settle Kim and Kanye first. However, if that proves very difficult, she will go to court and ask a judge to impose ground rules on custody and visitation. But that could be difficult for Kanye West, who seems to be pursuing this wish. He frequently travels outside of LA, making it challenging to finalize a custody agreement when his schedules are constantly changing.
Kim Kardashian reportedly did everything to keep things peaceful. But Kanye West is so angry about his relationship with Pete Davidson and the custody issues that the idea of reaching an out-of-court settlement seems unlikely.
