Large-scale operation on the Kiel Fjord: According to eyewitnesses, on Wednesday evening around 6 p.m., a windpipe formed at the level of the keel line.

Several rowers were busy with their boats on the jetty at the level of the Kiel yacht club when the windpants caught them and threw them into the fjord. According to the fire brigade, everyone could be saved. According to eyewitnesses, first responders jumped into the water to save the people. However, three of them were seriously injured and three were slightly injured.

The rescue service arrived with several vehicles on the keel line.

An eyewitness told NDR Schleswig-Holstein that she was just able to get to safety when a tree fell near her. The windpants had nourished themselves very quickly over the Kiel Fjord of the keel line. The promenade was relatively empty at the time of the accident because it had rained before. According to the police, the windpants then moved further towards the east bank. The fire brigade and rescue service were deployed in large numbers.

Windhose covers the roof

Previously, the Windhose had partially covered a roof in Kiel-Meimersdorf. According to the police, it has not yet been conclusively clarified whether there was one or even two turrets. In the meantime, the large-scale deployment of the police, fire brigade and rescue service has ended.
