Kevin Hart as a master thief: “Lift” promises entertaining action at dizzying heights

Watch the video: Fast-paced action at 10,000 meters above sea level. In the new heist film, Kevin Hart as a master thief hijacks a plane and gold bars.

In the new Heist film, Kevin Hart plays a ruthless master thief who plans a gold heist at a height of 10,000 meters. Now Netflix has released the first trailer.

Netflix loves heist movies. And Netflix loves Kevin Hart. Both combined promise the best entertainment. In “Lift” the comedian takes on the role of a master thief who is planning his next coup at dizzying heights. His idea: to steal half a billion dollars worth of gold bars that were being transported on a 777 passenger plane. Now Netflix has released the first trailer for the film, which promises action in an unusual setting.

“We steal the gold during the flight – at an altitude of 10,000 meters”

In the clip you can see Hart as Cyrus Whitaker and his accomplices being accused of numerous robberies – but they are offered a deal: if they hijack the gold bars from the plane in question for the FBI, they will be spared prison. The reason: The gold is on its way to a terrorist cell – and has to disappear before it arrives. Whitaker’s plan: “We steal the gold during the flight – at 10,000 meters altitude.” But it obviously won’t be that easy.

In the best “Fast and Furious” style – after all, F. Gary Gray, who was responsible for the eighth part of the fast-paced action series, directed the film – the team has to prove themselves in hectic chase scenarios and combat situations in airplanes at dizzying heights. The time window you have left on the flight from London to Zurich is still limited.

In addition to Hart, the new Netflix film benefits from lots of other well-known faces. Marvel stars Vincent D’Onofrio and Jacob Batalon, “Money Heist” actress Úrsula Corberó, “Avatar” actor Sam Worthington as well as Jean Reno, Gugu Mbatha Raw, Billy Magnussen, Burn Gorman, Viveik Kalra, Jun-jee Kim and Paul Anderson are there and make “Lift” a star-studded action hit.

“Lift” will be available to stream on Netflix on January 12, 2024.
