The “Batgirl” movie has been buried. The two directors have therefore received a lot of sympathy – also from Kevin Feige and James Gunn.
After the surprising end of “Batgirl” there is no peace in Hollywood. Industry giants have now also contacted directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah – including Kevin Feige (49), boss of Marvel Studios, “Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn (56) and “Baby Driver” director Edgar Wright (48). Kevin Feige sends encouraging words
So he published the screenshot of an emailthat Feige addressed to him and Fallah. “My friends, I had to reach out and let you know that we are all thinking of you both.” He was very proud of her “and all the great work you do, and of course especially Ms. Marvel!”. He can’t wait to see what’s next for the two of them. “I hope we’ll see you again soon.” The directors were behind the camera for the series “Ms. Marvel”. “Batgirl” was part of the DC Extended Universe. “Thank you, Brother Kevin,” Adil El Arbi comments on the news.

Wright helped develop “Ant-Man” before leaving the project. Gunn has worked for both the DC and Marvel universes.
Directors are ‘sad and shocked’
Batgirl directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah got in touch after leaving Instagram and stated to be “sad and shocked”. Since the two have been “huge fans of Batman” themselves since childhood, it was still an honor for them to be able to be a part of the DC Extended Universe, at least for a short time.
Just a few days ago it was announced that Warner Bros. would not like to show “Batgirl” in the cinema or via the HBO Max streaming service. This was reported, among other things the industry magazine “Variety”. According to insiders, the decision was not based on the quality of the material, which was already completely wrapped and is said to have cost a good 90 million US dollars. Instead, the company management wants to focus more on real cinema blockbusters again – and “Batgirl” was intended for the streaming market.
