“Before I appear, she must apologize”: Kanye West attacks Billie Eilish

Kanye West is supposed to be performing at the Coachella Festival in April. But before that, Billie Eilish should apologize, the rapper demands – but not with him.
Kanye West has often caused astonishment in the past with confused postings on social media. Now it’s that time again: He asked singer Billie Eilish on Instagram to apologize to rapper Travis Scott – otherwise he would not perform at the Coachella Festival.
The legendary cultural event will take place on two weekends in April this year: from April 15th to 17th and from April 22nd to 24th. Kanye West is planning to share the stage with Scott. But the planned appearance is in the stars after his Instagram announcement.
What it is about is not easy for many fans to understand. Recently, Billie Eilish interrupted a concert and prompted her medical team to give an inhaler to a fan who was having trouble breathing. At the same time, she asked the other visitors to step back to give the breathless concertgoer some space. She waits until everyone is fine before continuing the concert, said the 20-year-old. Quite a few understood this as a reference to Travis Scott.
Kanye West wants to perform with Travis Scott
When the rapper performed at the Astroworld Festival in November 2021, there was a mass panic. More than 300 people were injured, ten people lost their lives. Many blamed Travis Scott for previously encouraging audiences to jump safety barriers and get in front of the stage. In addition, he only stopped the concert 37 minutes after the panic broke out – and was heavily criticized for it afterwards.
Kanye West still has no problem performing with him at the Coachella Festival. Even more: he refuses any criticism of his partner – even if it is expressed so indirectly as in the case of Billie Eilish.
In a short reply under the post, she explained that she never said anything directly to Travis Scott, but only helped a fan. That wasn’t an excuse. So it will be interesting to see if Kim Kardashian’s ex will actually perform at the festival in April.
