‘Just didn’t want a baby’: Lily Allen on her abortion

Lily Allen (37) finds clear words. The British pop singer suffered her first miscarriage in 2008. Two years later she was Sam Cooper pregnant and lost their baby – due to blood poisoning, her life was even in danger. After a successful operation, she recovered and years later gave birth to her two daughters Ethel Cooper (10) and Marnie Rose Cooper to the world. After speaking openly about her strokes of fate, Lily turned back to her fans: Lily revealed that she had an abortion.

The singer revealed in her Instagram-Story that she had an abortion in the past: “Most people I know, myself included, just didn’t want a friggin’ baby, and that’s reason enough.” At the same time, she called on women to stop justifying themselves for having an abortion. “I wish people would stop looking for and sharing examples of exceptional cases of abortion,” she added.

A growing number of Hollywood stars are speaking out about the court ruling banning federal abortion rights in the United States. One of them is Meadow Walker – the 23-year-old revealed she had one two years ago had an abortion.
