For some time now, nothing has seemed to suppress Liverpool Football Club more consistently than the thought of Jürgen Klopp’s possible resignation. The fans of the old passion club hoped that the German coach would work on the River Mersey forever. And Klopp would probably have preferred to coach the club he has grown fond of forever. But the efforts of more than eight years in Liverpool have not left him unscathed. And so on Friday morning he did what no one could imagine and, above all, didn’t want to do: he submitted his resignation at the end of the season.
