Kim Virginia is shaping this year’s jungle camp with her Mike obsession, to the chagrin of her fellow campers and the spectators. But another dating show candidate has a better chance of taking the throne: Fabio Knez. What makes the Italian so popular.
The jungle campers have already been in the jungle for eight days and for eight days there was almost only one topic: Kim Virginia and her questionable obsession with ex-lover Mike Heiter, with whom she appeared on the reality show “Are You The One – Reality Stars in Love ” suggested. Although this gives the influencer a lot of air time, she is unlikely to ascend the jungle throne. The hottest contender for the coveted title is another “Are You The One” candidate: Fabio Knez. And that’s probably also because Speedo lover Knez from the jungle doesn’t do a dating show.

Knez has proven from day one that he has more to offer than just the old camels from his TV lady hunting days. So he told his camp buddies David Odonkor and Mike Heiter about his time with the police. “I’m fast. You mustn’t forget that I used to be a Bavarian civil servant. I didn’t even manage to do one thing a day,” he said, much to the amusement of the audience, and then started talking. “At 7 a.m. you punch in the chip machine and go to the snack period,” he said. After breakfast we went to the desk. “Then you let the PC boot up and it’s already 8:15 a.m.,” said the Bavarian. The rather quiet working day doesn’t last very long: “I always took an hour’s nap. And at 3 p.m. it’s over again.”

After his civil service career, Knez earned his living as a vacuum cleaner salesman until he played for Yeliz Koc’s heart in “Make Love Fake Love”. Although it wasn’t enough for a partnership at the time, Koc and Knez remain close friends.
Knez also gets along with most of the stars in camp. It is particularly touching how he takes care of his oldest roommate, actor Heinz Hoenig. If the road gets a little bumpy, he holds the 72-year-old’s hand. On day eight of camp, he paid tribute to Hoenig’s immense success. According to the Munich native, his grandmother was thrilled that Hoenig would be at the camp with Fabio. And although it bothered Hoenig a little that his grandmother said it, the compliment definitely put a smile on his face.

On the Internet, jungle fans see the cozy ex-official with the funny sayings right up front. “We agree that only Fabio can win, right?” writes a viewer on X, formerly Twitter. Another jokingly threatens RTL with a report if someone else takes the throne. “I would be in favor of more airtime for Fabio and less for Kim,” said another fan.
Knez shows that in the jungle camp it’s not just about getting as much airtime as possible. Instead, what is important is what you do with your airtime: Do you present your human side? Are you respectful and show humor? If all of this is true, the path could lead to the throne.
Fabio also had the right saying ready for the aforementioned Kim-Mike drama: “Oh dear, Mike… you would have preferred to jerk off that evening,” he said to his show colleague Heiter. How right he is about that.
