Judged for killing a man with about 50 stab wounds

The trial is expected to last three days. From this Wednesday, a man will appear before the Côtes-d’Armor Assize Court in Saint-Brieuc for the murder of a 36-year-old man. The victim was found stabbed with around fifty stab wounds on March 28, 2020 near the entrance to his home in Loudéac. With numerous wounds to the chest and neck, the thirties had died before the arrival of help.

A week later, a suspect was arrested in this case and charged with intentional homicide. The investigation then revealed that the motive for the crime “appeared to be an altercation against the background of drug trafficking”, reported at the time Bertrand Leclerc, public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc. The victim was “known for drug use and trafficking” and “usually supplied the respondent with heroin”, he added.

The verdict of the Assize Court of Côtes-d’Armor is expected Friday during the day.
