Jordan De Luxe reveals being a victim of sexual assault

If he always looks happy and cheerful on the air, Jordan De Luxe has had traumatic experiences that he had never talked about until then. The host, who makes kitsch cool on his show At Jordan’s on C8, decided to say everything in his autobiographical book, What are you for? – straightforward confidences (ed. Leduc).

Aged around twenty, and after surviving school bullying, Jordan De Luxe dreams of becoming an actor. He then comes to live in the Paris suburbs, with his cousin. After an evening, where he accompanied Geneviève de Fontenay, he found himself unable to return, the RER having stopped working. It was then that one of the guests, “an actor” who played “in a series which has not been on M6 for a long time”, as he confided to the Parisianoffers to put him up for the night.

Men too

“Arriving at his house, he served me a drink while going to fill my glass in the kitchen. I woke up naked the next morning, a used condom next to him…” explains Jordan De Luxe in TV Star.

If Jordan De Luxe is only speaking out now, it’s because at the time, he was “afraid” of being taken for “a liar”. This same fear mixed with shame that many women victims of sexual violence say they feel to explain their long silence. His goal, in publicly telling his story, is “firstly to remind people that this type of aggression can happen to boys” and also to send a message to the one who attacked him, and against whom, for moment, he did not file a complaint.
