Jonsbo D300: Rounded L-window allows for a deep view

Covering a housing with glass on two sides is easy if you choose a boxy, angular design and can therefore use two separate windows. Jonsbo, on the other hand, uses a large L-shaped glass element with a rounded corner in the Micro ATX Tower D300 to create an eye-catcher that allows you to look deep.

From the inside, the D300 doesn’t quite conform to usual conventions either. What is noticeable is that Jonsbo shortens the bezel for the power supply. This allows a 120mm fan to be placed in front of the front.

A radiator for the AiO cooler

Theoretically, this arrangement would leave the option of using deeper radiators on the right side panel, at least if short graphics cards are installed, but in practice the distance to the power supply cover is not enough. Jonsbo only planned to install a 240/360 mm radiator under the lid. As the product images emphasize, this is primarily intended to enable the installation of AiO cooling.

A maximum of 430 millimeters long expansion cards can be installed in the D300. Jonsbo does not impose any restrictions on processor coolers in the D300. Power supplies are limited to a length of 200 millimeters. A product image with Noctua’s NH-D15 and an oversized GeForce RTX 4080 in the Noctua Edition from Asus (test) shows how much space there is in the case.

The HDD assembly is also unusual. A holder for a 2.5″ and 3.5″ drive is located behind the mainboard. There is also another holder for a 2.5″ or 3.5″ data carrier, which is inserted in front of the power supply on the bottom of the case.

Nine fans are possible

Up to nine 120 mm fans can be mounted for cooling. They are distributed across the base, side panel, lid, rear and the power supply panel, where two fans fit underneath the graphics card. However, a separate dust filter is only installed on the bottom of the housing.

The D300 is currently available from stock in free trade for around 100 euros. At first glance, it costs only a little more than “simple” glass case housings such as the Thermaltake View 270 or Antec CX200M, which, however, are already equipped with fans at the factory.
