Now it’s off to the Maldives: What the treasure hunt winner plans to do with his million

After a week full of guesswork, 33-year-old Tobias is a millionaire. He won Joko and Klaas’s treasure hunt – and already has plans for the future.
On the sofa at “Late Night Berlin,” Tobias is still pretty overwhelmed. ““It still hasn’t arrived,” says the 33-year-old Klaas Heufer circulation. A few hours ago he won one million euros after the two presenters gave their viewers a new tip every evening. The ProSieben treasure hunt lasted a week and was attended by numerous people.

But one person made the difference: the Twitch streamer Papaplatte, real name Kevin Teller. Together with his fans, Teller solved the puzzles that Heufer-Umlauf and Winterscheidt published daily. He tunes in every evening at 8:15 p.m., explains Papaplatte in “Late Night Berlin.” Teller orchestrated the whole thing together with the swarm intelligence, Klaas explains the action. “You shouldn’t forget that there are 20,000 of us. Someone always has the idea, I think,” says the streamer in the show. He admits that the puzzles were easy to solve in the end.
Teller says he would have gone looking himself if it had been near Cologne. In fact, winner Tobias found the million in Central Saxony near Freiberg. Despite the shock, he thanked the streamer live on TV because he was also part of the audience who puzzled along with Papaplatte every day. “It’s great that a viewer from us got the millions,” he says happily.
Winner wants to go to the Maldives
The lucky winner also revealed what he plans to do with the million. “My mother wants a vacation there Maldives“I’ll definitely give it to her,” he says. His family has been saving for the vacation for a long time, it was actually planned for 2027. Now he can implement it more quickly. He doesn’t want to go to work today or tomorrow. “Here I am I’m on sick leave,” he jokes in the studio.
