Joko and Klaas lose against ProSieben – penalty will follow on Saturday in a live show

In the new episode of “Joko & Klaas against ProSieben” the moderators suffered their first defeat. There they even competed in threes due to an injury of Winterscheidt.
Even crutches can only stop Joko Winterscheidt to a limited extent. Because the moderator was injured in the previous edition of “Joko & Klaas against ProSieben”, he and his colleague Klaas Heufer-Umlauf received support in the new episode. In the fight against the broadcaster, the duo was supported by producer and author Jakob Lundt. The trio was able to gain several advantages in the various tasks – but they were denied the third victory in the third edition of the new season.

At first everything looked good for Winterscheidt and Heufer-Umlauf. Together with Lundt, they mastered the first four challenges. In game two, “The Taped Singer”, they correctly recognized Vanessa Mai and Lucy Diakovska, two of four artists whose faces were covered with duct tape. The task was thus successfully completed. In games five and six, the trio then had to admit defeat to celebrity challengers Verona Pooth and Micky Beisenherz as well as Max Giesinger and Johannes Oerding.
The difficult final “Klammern”, in which Heufer-Umlauf and Lundt took part, was also lost. The two were asked to hold on to six different objects for a total of five minutes without their feet touching the ground. While that didn’t work particularly well with a pair of jeans and a medicine ball, Heufer-Umlauf clung to a Winterscheidt doll for a relatively long time. “I spooned you so hard,” joked the 38-year-old. But because there were still 54 seconds left on the counter after the last item, the final was considered lost.

As a punishment, the station is preparing “something crass” for the live show “The duel around the world – Team Joko versus Team Klaas” this Saturday. Last week, presenter Steven Gätjen had already announced “something terrible, unexpected, terrible” that Winterscheidt and Heufer-Umlauf would have expected if their program had lost. What exactly that will be is a surprise.
As a result, the moderators will not receive any live broadcast time at prime time on ProSieben on December 8th. In the past week, the two had shown tough corona reality from three different angles.
