John Textor finally has his new “CEO”. The American owner of Olympique Lyonnais managed to convince the former general manager to The Team, Laurent Prud’homme to take charge of the club, as announced in the sports daily. The Amaury group, which owns the newspaper, officially announced its departure this Friday morning.
Laurent Prud’homme, 49, will not be president of OL as Jean-Michel Aulas was in his time, but “CEO” for Chief Executive Officer, replacing Thierry Sauvage, general director, and Santiago Cucci , interim CEO since this summer. According to The Team, Prud’homme was chosen by Textor because of his knowledge of the main players in French sport, starting with the leaders of the FFF and the LFP.
