Of course, that depends entirely on the person and their background. We already had a similar case in Germany with Konrad Adenauer. He was 85 years old when he was elected Chancellor for the fourth time in 1961. And it has to be said that his last years in government were not the best. The question of whether a political elected official is “fit for purpose” is very relevant for every democracy.
