Jérémy Viale, from pizza truck to world titles

An impressive track record. In six years, Jérémy Viale has already won everything, tirelessly collecting all the trophies. On his CV: two world pizza champion titles, won in 2019 and 2002. Manager of the Nano Trattoria restaurant in Lyon, the man is in all competitions. Last week, he was crowned, this time, vice-world champion in the “classic pizza” and “triathlon” categories, a test in three different cooking categories. Not to mention the title won, the previous week, during the French dessert pizza championship. Impressive when you know that the man started making pizza in 2016.

“A lot of training”

His recipe: “to be happy in life so as not to bring his problems back to work”, he specifies. But not only. For the pizza maker, it’s above all “a lot of training” and above all the desire to take part in competitions. “I particularly like creating new pizza recipes for the championships”, reveals Jérémy Viale.
