In the rest of the regions where the vaccination rates are sometimes not as high as in other regions. In some regions in Germany, intensive care beds are becoming scarce again, and relocations to other regions are being considered and specifically planned Incidentally, significantly fewer Covid 19 patients would be in the intensive care units and would have to be treated if everyone who could also get vaccinated. To make a difference for the individual, for the protection of the individual, but also above all for avoiding the overload, the burden on the health system. In my opinion, this requires three points, which I would also like the federal and state governments to support vigorously together. The first is to consistently implement the agreed precautionary measures 3G and AHA rules and, where necessary, to supplement them with 2G. The second are compulsory test concepts for nursing homes, for the places where the particularly vulnerable live. And that also applies to mandatory testing for vaccinated or recovered staff and visitors. And thirdly, there are many, many booster vaccinations. Because the booster vaccinations help to break the fourth wave. I mean, that’s just a picture from Israel now, where you can just see very, very clearly, with the booster vaccinations it was possible to bring the curves downwards. You can see from the example of Israel that boosting actually makes a real difference in many aspects. And that’s why I would also like to talk to my colleagues in the countries about how we can do what is fundamentally possible, there is approval for it, namely everyone who wants, beyond those for whom it is recommended, also for anyone who wants to have a booster vaccination after six months.
