The “Big Little Lies” director Jean-Marc Vallée died unexpectedly over Christmas. Now the cause of death has been communicated.
Jean-Marc Vallée, the director of series such as “Big Little Lies” or films such as “Dallas Buyers Club”, died unexpectedly at the weekend. As a spokesman for “People” magazine confirmed, the filmmaker died of a heart attack on December 26th at the age of 58.
Vallée was considered to be an extremely health-conscious person. He did a lot of sport, did not drink alcohol and even went ice bathing regularly, as reported by “Deadline”.
“Big Little Lies” stars say goodbye
In the social networks, many stars who worked with him in his career have publicly mourned. Reese Witherspoon (45) shared several joint photos and wrote: “I’ll always remember you when the sun goes down. Chasing the light. On a mountain in Oregon. On a beach in Monterey. Make sure we all catch a little magic in this life. Until we meet again. “
Her colleague Laura Dern (54) describes Vallée in their post as “one of the greatest and purest artists and dreamers”.
Also Nicole Kidman (54) raves on Instagram of the joint work and the private connection: “I am shaken. It was the center of my creative universe and I cannot emphasize its importance to myself enough.”
