Jean-Clair Todibo replaces Ibrahima Konaté, package

Didier Deschamps had summoned Ibrahima Konaté on Thursday when he was uncertain. Finally, the central defender of Liverpool (24 years old, 11 selections) had to forfeit the qualifying match for Euro 2024 against Ireland, Thursday at the Parc des Princes, as indicated by the French Football Federation ( FFF) Sunday.

“Insufficiently recovered from his hamstring injury in his left thigh, Ibrahima Konaté is unable to participate in the first meeting of the season which begins on Monday. Jean-Clair Todibo replaces him in the group of 23”, specifies the FFF on its site.

Already invited but never selected yet

Todibo (23), once again performing well in Nice’s victory over Strasbourg (2-0) on Sunday in Ligue 1, is expected Monday noon at Clairefontaine. The former Toulousain and Barcelonan has already been called up to Blue, last March, but he has not yet had his first selection.

In addition to the match against Ireland, the France team will travel to Dortmund for a friendly match against Ireland on Tuesday September 12.
