Nothing is official, but new rumors about Bond are constantly making the rounds. Now there is speculation as to whether these cult villains will return.
Will the next James Bond film be a remake? Speculations about the famous film series are once again making the rounds. The Daily Mail, citing insiders, reports that well-known villains could appear in the new film. According to the rumors, those responsible already have favorites for the female lead, the actresses Sydney Sweeney (26) and Zendaya (27) are said to be in discussion. According to the newspaper, the source also claimed that “Dune” director Denis Villeneuve (56) was the first choice to direct the new film, which “could possibly be a remake.”
This is the producers’ “dream scenario,” according to the alleged insider, but since Denis Villeneuve is “very busy, it might be difficult to sign him.” The future of James Bond has been discussed for years. The new films are apparently different from those with Daniel Craig (56). Supposedly there will be more fantasy in the series again, with “larger-than-life villains”. It is said that characters like Oddjob or Biters could make a comeback.

However, there is nothing official yet regarding the future of the Bond series. The race to succeed Daniel Craig as James Bond is still not decided. Reports that British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson (33) would get the role were recently denied. The Sun had reported that the Kick-Ass star had been “officially offered to play James Bond.” The “BBC” then initially put an end to the speculation. A production insider revealed that “there is no truth to the rumors.”
However, Taylor-Johnson already has prominent fans. “I think the man has what it takes and the talent and the charisma to play Bond,” said ex-007 Pierce Brosnan (70) in a radio interview about his young actor colleague.
