It’s fall ! Marine Lrouille’s advice for getting through the process smoothly

Summer is over! But there’s no question of getting depressed. 20 minutes asked for the advice of Marine Loiseau, Miss France 2013. In three steps, the general practitioner offers some well-being and beauty tips, taken, among other things, from her new book, In great shape published by Marabout.

Gently change your diet

With the arrival of the cold seasons, you need to boost your immune system, and to do this, Marine Ltemporel advises eating “as many fruits and vegetables as possible”, provided they are in season. “Forget immunity booster cures, it’s marketing. If you want to be in great shape, you have to eat healthily,” she tells 20 minutes.

To keep the peach in autumn, the ex-Miss France take advantage of the last strawberries and raspberries. But also start eating plums, pears, grapes, with which you can make good smoothies to more easily reach your daily quota. As for the vegetable garden, we will turn to celery, zucchini and pumpkins, with which we can make soups. “Soups are not only easy to make but also very comforting,” says Marine Ltemporel at 20 minutes. However, she advises accompanying your soup with seeds and starchy foods for balance.

If you don’t have time to cook or just don’t have the desire, the former Miss France breaks down: “There is nothing wrong with buying frozen vegetables or fruits as long as they are without additives and without preservatives. You can make very good dishes with it.”

Adjust your beauty routine

And as the new season does not come alone, the cold is added to it. In cooler seasons, the skin barrier is more attacked or even weakened and the health of the skin is compromised. “To give it a helping hand, you need to add more nutrition to your routine, as well as more hydrating active ingredients,” she explains. With the cold we look for more comfort on the skin. We can introduce richer products, oils, creamier textures like balms. » She readily recommends cosmetics that contain hyaluronic acid, which will boost and maintain skin hydration, and the use of vegetable oils.

When the weather is less beautiful, it is also “interesting to play on sensoriality”, continues the author. To motivate yourself to pamper your skin, we try products that have scents that please us, Proust’s madeleine effect perfumes that will lift our spirits.

Be careful, even if there is less sun, SPF protection remains mandatory. “UV rays are dangerous for the skin!”, warns the doctor. You must protect yourself daily by applying sunscreen all year round, especially when you are highly exposed, during a ski trip for example. »

Maintain a healthy lifestyle at all costs

In autumn, it gets dark earlier and the desire to exercise disappears as quickly as the sun. And despite what you may think, that also applies when you’re a former beauty queen! Practical tip against laziness: sport at home. “You can buy weights and elastics to do some exercises” And you can do it in your living room with your favorite music of the moment! In terms of muscle strengthening: squats, lunges, cores, push-ups are welcome. For cardio, Marine Ltemporel recommends the use of the exercise bike to maintain good physical condition. “The best thing is to do group activities to motivate yourself, like going swimming for example,” she adds. The columnist especially recommends doing a physical activity that we want and will get us out of bed.

Last but not least: Remember to get enough sleep. It is the starting point for being in good physical and mental health.
