Israel News: UN emergency aid coordinator presents ten-point plan for Gaza

The head of the UN children’s fund Unicef, Catherine Russell, visited the Gaza Strip and called on the conflict parties to end the “horror” in the coastal area. “What I saw and heard was shocking,” explains Russell after a visit to a hospital, among other places. “People have suffered repeated bombings, casualties and displacement.” There is “no safe place for the one million children” in the Gaza Strip. She “once again appeals to all parties to ensure that the children are protected and receive assistance in accordance with international humanitarian law.” Only the parties to the conflict could “really put an end to the horror.”
