Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan has called for a permanent ceasefire. The current ceasefire is of limited value, he said at the Union for the Mediterranean meeting in Barcelona, Spain. “Unless this is followed by a comprehensive and permanent cessation of military operations.” If they continue, there is only one certain outcome: “More destruction, radicalization, more bloodbath at the expense of Palestinian lives and regional security, including Israel’s.”
Israel must be held accountable for the “atrocities it has committed.”“If not through sanctions, then by applying pressure to make Israel change course,” said Bin Farhan.
