Several members of the family of an Al Jazeera correspondent known in the Arab world have been killed in the Gaza Strip, according to the television station. “The wife, son, daughter and grandson of Wael al-Dahdu, the Arab Service office chief in Gaza, died in an Israeli airstrike,” Al Jazeera said.
The Israeli military said in response to the incident that the army had attacked “Hamas’ terrorist infrastructure” in the area. According to Al Jazeera, al Dahdu’s family had sought shelter in Nuseirat refugee camp. Nuseirat is located in the center of the Gaza Strip, south of the Wadi Gaza riverbed.
