British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak confirms the use of British jets to defend against Iranian drones. Sunak says warplanes have shot down “a number” of Iranian attack drones. It was previously announced that Great Britain had deployed additional aircraft to the region.
Sunak commented on the Iranian attack: “This was a dangerous and unnecessary escalation that I condemned in the strongest possible terms.” The Prime Minister praises the coordinated action of the allies. As a result, almost all drones and rockets that were fired towards Israel were intercepted. This saved lives not only in Israel, but also in neighboring countries such as Jordan.
