Israel’s army is evacuating Israeli towns in the border area. Thousands of people should be taken to other places in Israel, says army spokesman Richard Hecht. The area around the coastal strip is a restricted area. There are still eight points in the south of the country where possible attackers are being searchedsaid Hecht. The barrier to the Gaza Strip was breached in 29 places and is now all under control. Potential new attackers are attacked at these points from the air.
“We will take very tough action against Hamas after this inhumane attack,” announced Hecht. “This is a terrible morning.” Before attacks on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, instructions will be given to the population there “to avoid collateral damage.”.
