There are scenes of devastation and destruction that a drone filmed on Sunday over the site of a music festival site – located in Israeli territory, near the Gaza Strip, after the attack by the radical Islamic Palestinian group Hamas. According to Israeli forces, at least 260 bodies were discovered there. Numerous other visitors were taken hostage by Hamas members, the Israeli military said. A German mother sent a desperate message on social media looking for signs of life from her 22-year-old daughter, who is believed to have been at a music festival. O-TON RICARDA LOUK, SHANI LOUK’S MOTHER: “We were sent a video where I could clearly recognize my daughter. Unconscious, in a car with the Palestinians and how they drove off the Gaza Strip.” Many Israelis are also missing. Families demanded answers from the government at an Israel Radio press conference on Sunday. Some of them were still talking to their children on the phone during the attacks on Saturday morning, until all connection was lost. The Israeli government has now declared war and announced retaliation. In response to the attack, 300,000 reservists were called up. A military spokesman confirmed media reports that around 700 people were killed in the attack by Palestinian extremists on the Israeli side, including 73 members of the security forces.
