Iran’s attack on Israel: case closed? – Politics

Iran’s airstrike appears intended to avoid further escalation: It started with relatively slow drones. A message quickly followed that the “matter” could now be considered “closed.”

Iran’s top general sounded pleased with himself on Sunday morning. The objectives of his operation against Israel were achieved, said Mohammad Bagheri, the army’s chief of staff, thanks to “thoughtful tactics and good planning.” He did not mention what the goals were. The night before, it also seemed as if the message to Israel and the USA was more important to the Iranian regime than the military strike itself.
