After a meeting in Lyon on Tuesday evening, Manon Aubry, LFI European deputy, joined Lyon to participate in the May 1 parade.
“This day has a double meaning. It is the international day of workers’ struggle and the last day to register online on the electoral lists,” explained the candidate, believing that walking in the street on this day and going to vote on May 1st were placed on the same continuum against the government’s “policy of social destruction”.
“We are here to prepare for the post-Macron era,” continued the elected official. Applauded and echoed in chorus by the activists present when she called for “resistance”.
“We can obtain things in the European Parliament, even against Uber, if we fight battles,” she explained, referring to a future draft directive “zero deaths at work”, France being the “European country with the total number of no more deaths at work with 2 people per day.”
