Investor pitches: Financing rounds through ChatGPT-4 significantly more successful

Impressing potential investors is hard, but AI chatbots like ChatGPT-4 help create more compelling documentation, as reported by ZDnet.

The creation of so-called pitch decks for investors is a challenging task. They are designed to showcase the company’s latest achievements in an attractive way to attract investment.

Clarify Capital, a small business lender, surveyed 250 investors and 250 entrepreneurs. They were asked to rate pitch decks, some human-made and others GPT-4 generated. The participants did not know that AI was involved.

The human pitches were already successful in the past and had secured investors. But the results showed that the pitches created with the help of AI were more effective overall.

The effectiveness of the pitch decks has been tested in various industries including finance, marketing and investment. Overall, the GPT-4 pitch decks have been more successful in raising investor funds.

But ChatGPT isn’t just doing well with start-up investors: an experiment conducted by financial comparison site Finder.com found that ChatGPT’s 38-stock theoretical fund beat 10 of the most popular funds on UK platform Interactive Investor.

The selection of stocks made by the chatbot rose 4.9 percent in eight weeks. In comparison, the ten most popular funds on Interactive Investor saw an average loss of 0.8 percent. A number of UK, US and global funds from Vanguard, Fidelity and HSBC also underperformed.
