Investment: We need more financial knowledge – economics

It sounds paradoxical. On the one hand, many young people have no clue about taxes, about insurance, in short: about what they should do with their own money. This is reliably shown by various surveys, most recently a survey by Postbank. On the other hand, the group of under 30-year-olds is investing more than ever before, at least since the Deutsches Aktieninstitut started collecting this data in 1997. In no other year has the institute been able to measure a greater rate of growth in stock market investments by younger people.
