It may not be James Bond dimensions yet, but at least in Germany, the film adaptations of the Lower Bavarian provincial comedies from Rita Falk one of the most successful cinema series ever. For the eighth time, Sebastian Bezzel plays the village policeman and meat loaf lover Franz Eberhofer in “Guglhupfgeschwader” (theatrical release: August 4). Bezzel, 51, is one of the best-known German actors. He began his career at the Munich Residenztheater, then was “Tatort” commissioner for many years Eve Mattes.
