Inter-Atlético: Marcus Thuram and Antoine Griezmann are out with injury

Marcus Thuram came out injured, visibly affected in the right adductor, at half-time of the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League against Atlético de Madrid on Tuesday (1-0). The center forward held his right adductor after a strike shortly before the break, before lying down, then held until half-time.

After returning from the locker room, he was replaced by the Austrian Marko Arnautovic. The former Mönchengladbach player had a good first period and came close to providing an assist to his attacking partner Lautaro Martinez, who crushed his shot too much. The French international has scored 11 goals for Inter this season, and has featured in every Nerazzurri match since last summer.

For his part, Antoine Griezmann came out in the 78th minute, grimacing, holding his right ankle. The Argentinian Angel Correa replaced him for the last minutes of the match. The Frenchman was spared this weekend during the Colchoneros’ victory (5-0) against Las Palmas in La Liga.
