The insurance industry is proposing a new, state-sponsored private pension plan, which it calls “citizens’ pensions”, giving it quasi-official status. A prominent working group of the General Association of Insurers (GDV) has developed a corresponding concept. On January 19, 2023, the GDV Presidium wants to discuss this. The working group is led by Katja de la Viña, head of the market leader Allianz life insurance.
