Inn without alcohol: The sawmill in Franconian Switzerland gets by without it – Bavaria

Innkeeper Vladimir Kloz is an alcoholic. When that was no longer possible, he and his wife Kerstin Gößl dared to experiment: They removed alcohol from the menu in their traditional Franconian inn. A conversation about unruly guests, the variety of non-alcoholic beers and grape juice in wild goulash.

It is probably the first alcohol-free inn in Bavaria: alcohol has been removed from the menu at the saw mill in Großenohe in Franconian Switzerland. There are around 20 non-alcoholic beers. There is more than just a trend behind the decision of the landlord couple Vladimir Kloz, 46, and Kerstin Gößl, 48: The Czech has been an alcoholic for seven years and has been sober since the turn of the year. Both are present at the interview. Because Kloz mainly speaks Czech, his wife does the talking.
