Ingolstadt: “Futurological Congress III” in the Stadttheater – Munich

Just four years ago, only a minority worked from home in Germany. According to a study by the Federal Ministry of Labor, 11.8 percent of those who had an office job stayed at their desk at home at least once a month. This changed long ago due to the pandemic, which is why the author and Internet entrepreneur Sascha Lobo formulated the thesis that digitization has gained through Corona. Lobo will continue to elaborate on his theses in a lecture at the Ingolstadt City Theater. Just like the science journalist Harald Lesch will present his ideas on digitization, sustainability and climate change – as a contribution to the “Futurological Congress III”, which will take place from May 13th to 15th in the Stadttheater. How do we want to live in the future in the face of advancing digitization and artificial intelligence, but also in view of climate change and the pandemic experience? This will be the theme of the congress for a weekend in lectures, performances, installations and exhibitions. As well as in three premieres: the two dystopian pieces “The Second Sun” (world premiere, commissioned by Svenja Viola Bungarten) and “Marjorie Prime” by Jordan Harrison, which was also filmed in 2017, as well as the self-awareness performance “The Prognosis”.
