The German Academy for Language and Poetry elected a new executive board at its autumn meeting. With Ingo Schulze, a writer becomes president of the most important German institution for language and literature for the first time since 1996. Schulze succeeds German scholar Ernst Osterkamp, who has held the office since 2017 and did not stand for election again.
