The series celebrates its 100th episode with “Inga Lindström – Just Love”. But some ZDF viewers didn’t like the heart cinema with Uschi Glas at all.

Nyköping – If you are looking for romance, big feelings and Scandinavian dream landscapes, you will feel in good hands with the “Inga Lindström” series. The television film romance celebrated its 100th anniversary edition on Sunday (October 1st) with “Just Love,” which featured actors such as Uschi Glas (79) and Leonard Lansink (67), among others. But despite the idyllic southern Sweden shots, some viewers didn’t really get excited.

“Inga Lindström – Just Love” causes a lot of dissatisfaction among ZDF audiences

The story of “Inga Lindström – Just Love” is quickly explained: Maja (Mersiha Husagic, 34) learns of the sudden death of her father, who rejected her many years ago. With his death, she unexpectedly inherits the island where she once spent happy times. There her brother (Daniel Buder, 46) offers a course that is intended to help couples separate mindfully – but many things turn out differently than expected…

The main ingredients of the “Inga Lindström” series remain the same, but the anniversary film still receives heavy criticism online: “Terrible dialogues and mumbling actors,” “Sorry, I find the story horrible,” or “What nonsense! Terrible script,” complained disappointed viewers in a ZDF Facebook post. There is a lot of support for this: in particular, the poor sound quality and the bumpy dialogues are highlighted in several comments. Some people even call it the “most boring episode ever”.

When and where was the 100th episode filmed?

“Inga Lindström – Just Love” was filmed in southern Sweden in June and July 2023. As always, the starting point of the story is the residential city of Nyköping (approx. 32,000 inhabitants).

Despite harsh criticism for “Inga Lindström” anniversary: ZDF viewers convinced by Uschi Glas

There is very little praise, for example for Uschi Glas, who struggles with a difficult fate in “Inga Lindström – Just Love”: “Great acting (…), the difficult process of experiencing dementia” or “Nice, Uschi “To see Glass in such a role,” some viewers praised the 79-year-old’s acting performance.

Despite all the criticism: ZDF was able to achieve success with the anniversary episode – at least as far as the ratings are concerned. How dwdl.de reported, a total of 4.89 million viewers saw the current “Inga Lindström” edition (market share: 19.7%). That was enough to give the overall audience a primetime victory on Sunday evening. The day before, the TV stations fought an exciting ratings duel in which a film that had already been shown countless times surprisingly outclassed “Beat the Star” and “Because They Don’t Know What’s Happening”.
