“When the officers arrived, they were helping the newborn and Hobbs ambulance took the baby to a local hospital,” police said. The baby was said to be in stable condition.
Based on the camera recordings, the investigators were able to identify the woman’s car. The teenager confessed to giving birth and throwing the baby in the dumpster, police said.
The young woman was charged with attempted murder and should be tried in Lea County District Court on Monday. She said on the Dailymail that she only noticed a day before the delivery that she was pregnant. She was released from prison on $ 10,000 bail.
