TELEVISION – Hanouna to the rescue. The host of the show Do not touch My TV on C8 defended Canal+ boss Vincent Bolloré, questioned by the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the allocation of TV frequencies this Wednesday March 13.

These hearings are scrutinized, because the group’s channels, including C8 and Cnews, are very regularly singled out by the audiovisual regulator Arcom for conspiratorial or misleading comments, particularly recently on abortion. Through his channels, Vincent Bolloré, a fervent Catholic, is accused of spreading far-right ideology and his religious beliefs.

The latter defended himself during his hearing, assuring: “It’s not because I’m Christian that I can’t talk about other religions.” He also claimed to have “many Muslim friends”. Words that Cyril Hanouna did not fail to support.

Hanouna auditioned this Thursday

“He wanted to point out that he respected all religions. And I also remind you that it’s Bolloré on Direct 8 [ancien nom de C8, NDLR] who had launched a program with a rabbi, an imam, a priest. It was an incredible show that viewers loved”said the host on TPMP.

He also attacked Louis Boyard, who announced with great fanfare on X that he would be present at Vincent Bolloré’s hearing. Between the MP and the host, the rag has been burning since an altercation on the set in November 2022. And the tweet from the LFI elected official did not please Cyril Hanouna. “It’s unacceptable, still a little bit of respect. Vincent Bolloré who is still a great man. We don’t do that, not that”he denounced.

Cyril Hanouna will be questioned by the same commission this Thursday between 2 and 4:30 p.m., half an hour longer than the duration of a traditional hearing. “Apparently to me, they asked for a waiver. I’m the only one with 2:30, I’m very flattered”, the host mocked. To see if he will still be as relaxed in front of parliamentarians.
