In the Sarthe, a town offers gas vouchers to its inhabitants

The initiative is making a lot of noise. In the Sarthe, a municipality has decided to help its inhabitants in the face of the sharp rise in fuel prices at the start of the year. For the past week, at Le Lude, vouchers worth 30 euros have been offered to all those who have to take their car to exercise their professional activity. With no means test, this “helping hand” is aimed more specifically at residents who work more than 10 km from Le Lude.

According to the newspaper West France, some 200 vouchers have already been distributed. The operation, which is still taking place until next Monday, could therefore represent a cost of 12,000 euros for this municipality of some 4,000 inhabitants. To benefit from this small gift, all you have to do is “go to the town hall of Le Lude or Dissé-sous-le-Lude and present a gray card, an employment contract or a pay slip”, explains the site of the town.
