A head-on collision between two vehicles overnight from Thursday to Friday around 2 a.m. near Mont-de-Marsan in the Landes took the lives of two young men, aged 19 and 20,
report South West. The emergency services intervened to save these two victims. In vain. A third young man, aged 26, was transported in critical condition to Pellegrin hospital in Bordeaux, his prognosis for life was engaged. A fourth person, aged 24, was also slightly injured and taken to the nearest hospital.
A collision between two vehicles
The cars would have collided almost head-on on the D834 road. In one sense a sedan occupied by the two young men, killed instantly, and in the other a pick-up, belonging to the 26-year-old man hospitalized in serious condition, who “would have a priori slightly offset on the opposite track, which would have caused the shock ”, advance South West. The slightly injured 24-year-old was behind the wheel of a third vehicle driving behind the pickup. It crashed into the vehicles shortly after the first impact.
An investigation has been launched to understand the circumstances of this accident.
