In the 5th constituency of Ain, Damien Abad elected with a large majority

Strengthened by his lead in the first round, Damien Abad (Together!) won the second round of the legislative elections in the 5th district of Ain. He was credited with 57.86%, a large majority, against 42.14% for Florence Pisani (Nupes).

The minister’s election did not suffer from the rape charges against him. Nor the visit of two Femen activists, this Sunday morning, in front of the town hall of Oyonnax (Ain). Topless, they had come to demand his resignation, banging on pots.

The Minister of Solidarity, Autonomy and People with Disabilities won 33.38% of the votes in the first round, against 23.54% for his competitor.
