In Marseille, the story of discord after the Winners’ tribute to Redouane Bougheraba

Forget the frustration at the end of a new defeat for OM against PSG (2-0), the cascade of injuries or even the “questionable” refereeing decisions, the controversy of this classic has been swirling around the tifo since Sunday evening in tribute to Redouane Bougheraba. The group of South Winners supporters brandished a 3D tifo bearing the image of the 45-year-old Marseille comedian, with his face surrounded by the Champions League and the Vélodrome stadium with “Forever the first”, in reference to his next show on June 22 in the OM den.

A tifo deployed in the Ganay stand which initially challenged, before being criticized by many supporters seeing it as a commercial operation: the Redouane Bougheraba show, They call me Marseille, is broadcast exclusively on the platform that holds the rights to this OM – PSG. Even the president of OM, Pablo Longoria, annoyed, told RMC that he had not been informed of such an initiative.

“The South Winners wanted to honor me”

Since then, the comedian has defended himself in several media. He confirms to Provence, that “it was the South Winners who did this. They wanted to honor me, to please me”, and refutes any agreement with Amazon: “The Winners said to themselves “It’s the pride of our people”, we are going to put it in the spotlight”. Redouane Bougheraba also reaffirmed on RMC that the president of OM was aware: “When I hear that the president is not aware, it makes me laugh.” He assures that he does not need any promotional stunt to sell out the tickets for his show when around half have been sold.

Rachid Zeroual, the figure of the South Winners, also ensured RMC that OM had validated this tifo before the meeting. “Longoria?” I am surprised by his reaction, like many of our supporters, to make everyone believe that… We went back to the past with more lies,” he declared while brushing aside the controversy: “And since when do we owe accounts on our tifos? »
