There has been a deadly knife attack in a Muslim center in Lisbon. The alleged perpetrator killed two people and seriously injured two others. He was shot by police officers.
An attacker stabbed two people in a Muslim center in Lisbon. Two other people were critically injured, said the Portuguese police. The fatalities are said to be two women aged around 20 and 40. The alleged perpetrator was arrested.
Accordingly, the police were called to the center late in the morning, where the officers found a “suspect armed with a large knife”. He refused to put down the knife and approached the officers.

According to Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa, the man was shot by police, arrested and taken to hospital. He was seriously injured, the police confirmed to the dpa news agency. A terrorist attack is assumed.
The act in the so-called Ismaili center is a criminal act, Costa said. Everything indicates that it was a single incident. Armed police officers from a special unit could be seen outside the building.
