Naples, Barcelona, Rome, Tokyo… You have to go very far in the ranking of the best pizzerias in the world 2023 to find a French woman. It is in 53rd place that we find IMperfetto, a restaurant run by the Neapolitan chef, Tonino Cogliano, in the western suburbs of Paris, in Puteaux.
It is 50toppizza.it, a very influential site in the small world of pizza, which ranks pizzerias, pizza makers and products for making pizzas that have made this top. In 2022, Peppe Pizzeria, based in the 20th arrondissement in Paris, took 3rd place on the podium, and 1st place in Europe. Peppe Cutraro’s restaurant is not even in the top 100 this year. Note, however, the 91st place of Guillaume Grasso, whose restaurant located in the 15th arrondissement, was ranked last year… 88th.
At the head of this ranking, for 2023, we find Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria, in Naples, which takes the title, followed by Masanielli in Caserta, still in Italy and Una Pizza Napoletana in New York. And regarding the top 50 europeanexcluding Italy, four French establishments appear in the best: IMperfetto and Guillaume Grasso, respectively 11th and 21st, as well as La Manifattura, 30th, and Dalmata, 44th, two restaurants located in the French capital.
