Ickinger Spring: Four concerts by promising ensembles – Bavaria

“Klangwelt Klassik” offers top-class chamber music all year round. At “Ickinger Frühling” there are four concentrated concerts on a weekend in April. Unlike before, the Rainer-Maria-Rilke-Saal not only features young string quartets that have conquered the concert scene in recent years, but also two promising piano trios, also with international cast: Trio ETA, named after the initials of the poet’s first names and Composer Hoffmann, opens the dance with Haydn, Brahms and Rachmaninov on April 22 (4 p.m.). In the evening, Trio Alba follows with works by Clara Schumann, Smetana and “Give me the phoenix wings to fly” by Kelly Murphy. Sunday begins with the Eliot Quartet (Haydn, Shostakovich, Silvestrov). The finale and high point at 4 p.m.: the Pavel Haas Quartet with Franz Schubert’s last string quartet in G major alongside Antonín Dvořák’s op. 106 in the same main key.
