The Kölsch rock musicians around Wolfgang Niedecken have released their new work “Zeitreise (Live im Sartory)” – and thus set a record in the German charts.

The Cologne veterans of BAP have set a record with their latest album. GfK Entertainment announced that their recording “Zeitreise (Live im Sartory)”, created over four evenings at concerts in Cologne, gave the Kölsch rock musicians around Wolfgang Niedecken their 13th number one album. “No band had more,” said the investigator of the Official German Charts.

On their “Time Travel” tour, the Kölsch rock band, founded in 1976, is playing all the tracks from the two breakthrough albums “Für usszeschnigge!” (1981) and “Vun inne noh drusse” (1982). Including the famous BAP hit “Verdamp lang her”.

With the album they even pushed superstar Taylor Swift off the top spot in Germany, whose work “The Tortured Poets Department” is in second place this week. Behind them, the British cult band Pet Shop Boys join in with “Nonetheless”. “Zeppelin” by pop singer Matthias Reim is in fourth place, the metal band Accept with “Humanoid” is in fifth position.

The duo Ayliva & Apache 207 also achieved a record in the single charts. “Their duet not only skyrockets from 0 to 1, but also celebrates the most successful streaming song launch of all time thanks to 3.3 million views on the day of release,” said GfK Entertainment. Behind them this week is Artemas with “I Like The Way You Kiss Me”. “Pedro” by Jaxomy, Agatino Romero & Raffaella Carrà lands in third place.
