After five months of war in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army’s (IDF) track record is mixed. It is true that Hamas’ resistance has noticeably diminished. There are hardly any rockets flying towards Israel anymore and the IDF appears to largely control the Gaza Strip itself, with the exception of Rafah. But the terrorist organization has not yet been broken despite the harsh crackdown by the Israeli military machine. The Hamas leadership in particular still appears to be intact.
